Pair bonding

When dealing with cichlids that are difficult to pair, and even more difficult to get to breed. You know, the ones who end up attacking each other as there are no other fish in the tank to defend their territory against, and any fish you added for this purpose would be killed in a matter or hours......

I have just read your reply about Blood Parrots.....in that reply you said that "our government is leaning towards going the same way with fish as they have birds; not letting anymore non-indigenous species into the country". May I ask what country you are in ? I am not aware of any nation...

Tilapia butekoferi

Can anyone fill me in on the correct water conditions, foods, and environment for these beautiful cichlids ?
