Re: Blue Kenya
Pam, we have what we call Blue Kenya Cichlids. They have had young a number of times. My question is which one turns Yellow when they get older. I am not sure if it is the Male that turns Yellow. Thank you for your time.

Hi Ed,
The scientific name for your fish is Metriaclima lombardoi, previously it was Pseudotropheus lombardoi. You can use these names to search for more information about your cichlids. The common name is kenyi, they are very cool fish, and I like their bold colors and black stripes. It is the dominate male that will turn yellow when he is sexually mature, the subdominate males will hold the female coloring as long as they, so they don't get beat up by the alpha male.
