it's me again. i have the 80gal. tank. i have 8 cichlids in it. and the water is driving me crazy. like i said in my last post i have been doing this for years and have never had this kind of problem. i have again just checked the water chem. all is very good, i checked nitrite, good, ph, good, ammonia, good.
i have the light on aprox 12 hours a day. i just did (again) a big water change about 50% this time. usualy i do 20% about every 2 weeks. the tank is not by a window. it gets no direct sun light. i do not over feed. the fish seem to be doing just fine no signs of stress or sickness. what now
still have green cloudy water

Re: still have green cloudy water
You could have the lights on for less time. That may help some. Beyond that, if you your tests are fine, then you may have to wait it out.
Maybe Pam will have other suggestions for you when she returns shortly.

Hey Mickey,
Not sure what has caused your tank to get green, Lisa has covered most of the possibilities. Keep up the larger water changes, and hopefully that will get you back on the right track.
Cichlid Power!
