can't find fish

Post by fmkeylock »

hey pam.......just got home from trip guy who was watching house feeding fish told me a fish has been missing for a week?????? i looked everywhere can't find fish looked in sump sock searched tank can't find the fish. i have eloborate caves and pool areas so it may be under something. the water is cloudy water chemistry is ammonia 0 nitrites 0 nitrates is very high at 60. my question is do you think they ate most of it or just keep doing daily water changes till nitrates go down or do i have to tear this whole tank down???

Hey FM,

Well you are never going to know for sure if it is lodged in the rocks or decor unless you remove them. Sorry, I don't see any alternative, and if it is stuck and decaying you defintely need to get it out.
