Hello Pam.
I'm new to aqauriums and wanted to ask you if you could give me a more detailed responce to what you said in another topic area ( I tried to respond there but it wouldnt allow me).
You said this, "One of the biggest joys that hobbyists get from Tropheus is watching their social structure, and I think the best way to observe it is one group per tank, there is nothing that can top a species only Tropheus tank".
Since I too like Tropheus and I'm beginning my first tank (75G) could you direct me toward that idea and just what fish constitute a "Species only tank"?
Also how many (small) for my 75G?
Thanks again.

One species?

Re: One species?
Hi Joe,
Species only tanks are tanks that contain just one species of fish. Not only are Tropheus exciting to observe in this type of set up but any cichlid that breeds harem style is also. The way the group interacts with each other is fun to watch. Often in community tanks you don't see this behavior because there is so much other stuff going on.
Cichlid Power!
