Hi Pam,
Please explain me deeply if You have time the way of algae growing with lights and spirulina powder. I want to put it in all of my tanks. Where to find it in Europe and is it possible to find in Serbia or some of near countries?

Re: Spirulina Powder
Hi Marm,
Try health food stores, you can often purchase spirulina powder or even capsules will work. Tablets are not good. Then it can be added to homemade foods or even sprinkled in your tank.
The way I do it, is to add spirulina powder to the tank. How much, well it depends on the size of the tank. It is sort of trial and error, start with a teaspoon or tablespoon and then add more or less. To start a good crop, I add it every few days, and I leave the lights on for 24 hours until I notice it growth, a couple of weeks and then you can cut back on the lighting some. I like to let it grow on the back of the tank and the sides, as well as the rocks. It is usually a a nice short green algae and the tropheus love to graze on it.
I am sure you could by it on the internet somewhere!
