Is the yellow Tropheus really a Moliro? The gentleman that sold the group to me said that it is a juvenile from the adult group group of 3). I've had them for one week and only yesterday did the bright yellow color come through on the juve. Usually it looks like a female Moliro (black and red bars). It's about 2.5" long. Do you think it's trying to breed? Any and all info is greatly appreciated. Thanks. (Ignore the frontosa.)

Hi Fsc,
I would say that it is in the process of becoming sexually mature. Juveniles show the stripping and can look a different from the adults. So I wouldn't worry until it gets bigger it should change its coloration to match the rest eventually. Also mood has a lot to do with the color, and if you just got them, he could have just become aclimated to your tank.
Cichlid Power!
