I have 3 unidentified cichlids

Post by Carlielynn »

Hi, I have 3 fish that I have yet to find an identity for. I know the spotted one is a female, and I beleive the othe two are males. They are bluis/silver with a yellow tint on the sides, they also have red tipped fins, and they can show black vertical stripes when they want (usually only the large one shows stripes). The one picture is of the spotted unidetified female, and the other picture contains the dominent male (the one showing it stripes) near the centre, and the smaller less dominent (which I still beleive to be a male) close to the upper left corner. The two bluish ones have a tendancy of being quite mean, and I am thinking of getting rid of them, if I can't get an exaclt name, what could I list them as?
(the two larger ones are almost 5', the smaller is not quite 4, estimate)

Carlielynn,

I can't really tell what these fish are??

It is really important that you get the name of the fish when you buy it, and then start a fish diary, and you record when and where you bought them. Then when you decide to trade them you will know what you have.
