Re: Updated stock list (peacock/hap)
Hi dontpanic,
I thought I had convinced you to stay away from hybrids?? Naturally occuring Peacocks & Haps are going to make a much better choices. With that said we must go latin, instead of common names.
Aulonocara
No: No Latin, all hybrids
Dragonblood
Apache
OB Peacock
Maybe: No latin, line bred
Ruby Red
OK:
Aulonocara kandensis "blue orchid"
Aulonocara stuartgranti 'maleri' 'chidunga rocks"
Aulonocara jacobfriebergi 'undu reef"
Here is a link that recaps most of the Aulonocara available, there are a few line bred listed here, but most are all naturally found. Always have a few extra's on your list, it could be harder to find some species, same with the haps.

Haps

Fireline mloto - Copadichromis virginalis
Super red empress - Line bred - Protomelas taeniolatus
Red flush - have no idea what this is??
Star sapphire - Placidochromis phenochilus
More Haps
