Hi Pam.
I had my chipokae for 6 months or so, i did have a male and 2 female but now only have a female. Is it possible for them to change sex and during the change over can she fertilize her own eggs. She has gone from yellow to almost black with a bright strip and is now holding.
Regards
Gavin

Hi Gavin,
It is a controversial subject, I don't think there is any scientific evidence and I don't believe it has been observed in the wild.
One thing for sure there have been no reportings of females fertilizing their own eggs.
Cichlid Power!
