new to the hobby
Hi.I'm new to the hobby & I want to set up a cichlid tank.I want 2 schools.Which ones school, and which ones are compatible?I like the electric yellow labs & the electric psuedos'.

Welcome to fishkeeping!! It can be a blast if you do your research. How big is your tank?? Labidochromis caeruleus (electric Yellows) will work good in most any Malawi Community, they are very well mannered cichlids! I think they do better in groups. I am not sure what the other fish you are considering? Electric Pseduo?? It is really best if we use Latin names and then we will know for sure which ones we are talking about. Consider getting a book too, and a good inexpensive one is by Barons, Malawi Cichlids, by Mark Smith. These Barons books are usually under 10 dollars and it will give you a good over view of the cichlids available from Malawi. Also how to best take care of them, diet, water conditions, etc.
