Post by brbrown »

Hello,
I would like to say Hi to all and I am new to the forum. My question concerns the Pelvicachromis taeniatus 'Dehane'. I can't find any information about this fish. Can you help me please? Do you have any links about this fish? What type of bio for this fish? Is it a community pleasant fish? And so on...........

Thank you very much for any help you can provide,
Bryant

Hi Bryant,

African riverene cichlids are the latest rage. I just typed that species name in to google and got 116 hits, so try that for sure. Most of the riverene people are hanging out on http://www.thekrib.com, and http://www.apistogramma.com

The American Cichlid Association has an Apsitogramma Study group and although Apisto's are from South America, the majority of this group is into dwarf cichlids and kribs fall into this category.

This year at the ACA convention to be held in Denver Colorado, will feature a speaker from France, and I am so sorry but I can't remember how to spell his name, but he will be talking about the latest species that have been discovered in this African riverene group.

Any infomation that you can find on Pelvicachromis will help you learn more about this species and how to maintain them.

They are tons of fun, great parents and have good color. To top it off they don't need a large tank!
