Apistogramma macmastri & Rio Meta

Post by hhaf »

Dear Pam and interested reader.

I'm trying to get as much biotope information about A. macmastri and the Meta River as I can find. The intent is to set up a tank for this species + 1 or 2 suitable companion species, and also to write an article about the project.

Also included in the project is the process of live catching in the river and the proceedings and transports from there on to a pet shop in Europe.

Any and all information is of interest, as is location pictures from either Meta river (location) or thr shipping process. For pictures a permit to publish on the Internet is needed, but as this is a project on a hobby basis I'm not able to offer to pay for rights of use. Full credit in text will be given.

Hi hhaf,

That sounds very interesting indeed, there are a couple of ways to go about this one is to check the countries fisheries. You can do this if you can find the countries website.

The other way is to find people who have been there. Most of the Apistogramma people hang out at these two sites, you should leave this message there and see if you get any kind of a response.
