sorry
Sorry I keep asking questions but their are no fish stores close to me. and info on web differs. Water change when do I do it and how much. I saw one that said 20% within the first week . Then I saw don't worry about it. I'm just confused and do you have any books that would be a good read for me. Thanks Tina
Re: sorry
Tina,
Water changes are always good, you can't do to many, providing you have worked your fish up to them. It also depends on your filtration, how many fish you have in the tank, and how much feed them. It is going to be a little bit of trial and error before you get the perfect equation to tank maintenance.
Watch your tank and watch your fish, and you will learn to tell when they need a water change. Start with 20% and then each time you do it, increase it by 10% until you are up to 50% water changes. Then see if you can go 2 weeks and everything still looks good, if not you may need a larger filter, or you may need to change your water weekly.
Good Luck!
