Jan Fioole is an aquarist in the Netherlands. Sincs 1992 he keeps Central American Cichlids in his home aquariums. In 2000 he visited Mexico with a friend to collect cichlids, he reminds it as a dream come true. His favorite cichlids are those of the genera Paratheraps and Vieja, particularly Paratherpas bifasciatus. In 2012 he visited Cuba to observe Nandopsis tetracanthus.
