American Cichlid Association Forum

The American Cichlid Association Forum directs you to The Cichlid Room Companion forum. Are they closing the ACA.org forum? Are the two forums merging?

Not as far as I know. They had some sort of issue when working on the website. Here's the quote from the FB group

Hey everyone. I've been ringing in the new year by working on the ACA website - retooling it a bit so it'll be easier to work on. In the process, the Forum was deleted I did take a backup, but I'm having trouble restoring it... In the meantime, please use the CRC forum and don't forget that ACA members get a free membership to CRC.

Thanks for plain and simple response. I asked a couple people and the response was simply to go to the CRC forum. No one answered the question whether they were doing away with the forum. Thanks for the response.

So I see the ACA has designed its page and as a result will no longer return its own forum. I met some great members over there and hope all those who were members at the old forum will be brought over to the CRC forum through its partnership with ACA.

The link on the ACA page goes here. I am asking about the older posts and information that was on the old forum. Not sure if that could be brought over or not, but there was a lot of good information there that would be nice here as well.

Lisachromis that is the same thing I was wondering. If everything we posted and all those we friended is lost. I did find 1 person. Also there was post that I watched that now I can not see. But I also wonder if some stuff was lost earlier because after being away for a little bit. When I returned my photo was no longer there. I think i am going to miss that forum like I missed cichlidmadness.

I have if you have a other forms that is not there they well let you get in or you talk about a other cichlid club they well not allowed you to bring it in

Benny that is not true. The ACA prefers fish that are pure, but they will not stop you from being on a forum if you keep other fish. This forum does not promote hybrids, but it doesn't go against you if you do. You won't see many people talking on hybrids posted here since most of the members do not keep them.

Still like that American cichlid asctionson I know a friend that dose a lot of fish painting cichlid fish he try to put his fish painting on the forum they told him to take it off on my post I want my rateing to go up

Not sure which forum you mean, but he's more than welcome to post his paintings on the forum.
