Perissodus multidentatus

Anyone ever seen Perissodus multidentatus exported for the aquarium trade? I know they are described as scale eaters so I'm sure that would limit the demand.

Perissodus is indeed a scale eater, which means you will not be able to keep it unlss you provide live tanganyika cichlids for it to parasitise. further it only feeds on a selected few species

Hi Martin:

Your assessment is completely wrong. This species will quickly attack any other fish in the same aquarium it is housed in, even non-cichlids. I fed mine pellets, which it ate with great gusto.
