Tanganyika: Lake Chila

Conservazione: Even being a recreational area, the pollution of the lake is rather a minor threat. We found all the occurring species in considerable abundance in February 2012, nevertheless the lake was restocked in June 2011 with non-native Oreochromis spp. whereof we caught only very few small individuals. The effect of this introduction on the existing species composition remains to be evaluated.
