A poorly known cichlid from Nigeria: Pelvicachromis sacrimontis Paulo, 1977
Cichlid News Magazine, 31(1):22-26 Jan-2022
" The genus Pelvicachromis Thys van den Audenaerde 1968, which is well known to aquarists, contains a total of eight described species. Four of them occur in Nigeria, including Pelvicachromis pulcher (Boulenger, 1901), which is also the best known and most widely kept species by aquarists within the genus, possibly of all West African dwarfs too. Also home to Nigeria is P. sacrimontis, a species that can very easily be confused with the previously mentioned one and which for a while, was also considered to be only a variant of P. pulcher "
