Neue Schneckencichliden aus dem Tanganjikasee. Lamprologus meleagris n. sp. und L. speciosus n. sp. (Cichlidae, Lamprologini)
Die Aquarien- und Terrarien-Zeitschrift (DATZ), 44(6):374-382 1991
" Lamprologus meleagris n. sp. and Lamprologus speciosus n. sp. are described from the Zairean southwestern coast of Lake Tanganyika. At the type locality (7° 25' S, 30° 10' E, about 65 km south of Moba) they live sympatric on sandy bottoms using empty shells of the Neothauma snail as breeding-caves. SCUBA observations indicate a preference of both species for different flow velocities. Lamprologus meleagris is closely related to L. stappersi Pellegrin, 1927, the only other Lamprologus species of Lake Tanganyika with a scaled occipital area "
