Nimbochromis linni (Burgess & Axelrod, 1975)

Original description as Haplochromis linni:

ZooBank:076037F2-A202-469E-B858-1E0CD6F94C3A.

  • Burgess, Warren & H.R. Axelrod. 1975. "Haplochromis linni, a new species of cichlid from Lake Malawi". Tropical Fish Hobbyist Magazine. v. 23(n. 5), pp. 36-41 (crc01087)

Conservation: Nimbochromis linni is evaluated by the international union for the conservation of nature in the iucn red list of threatened species as (LC) least concern (2006). Because of the fact that Nimbochromis linni is always found among rocks it is not threatened with overfishing by seine fishermen. I have never seen it being caught by hook and line and N. linni may not be attracted to baited hooks like other predators are.
