Male from Colonia del Sacramento
Wild caught male of Crenicichla scottii from a moderately sized creek in Colonia del Sacramento [Uruguay] collected in November, 1997. The specimen, collected when it was 6 cm length, was subsequently taken to the USA and photographed in april 1998, when he had reached 16 cm This was the first one specimen ever caught and brought into captivity.Photo by Mark Smith.
